Scrunchie Sweater is a soft, chunky knit with beautiful feminine details like a ruffle collar, balloon arms and long rib knit cuffs. You can choose between long and short sleeves. The sweater is knit from the top down, which means that you won’t have to sew any parts together at the end. You start by knitting the ruffle collar and when it has the desire length, you decrease the amount of stitches, evenly distributed across two rounds. When the ruffle collar is done, you proceed by knitting stocking stitches in the round, while simultaneously knitting raglan increases on both shoulders. When you have knitted all the increases, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold while you knit the body. You then proceed by placing the sleeve stitches back on your circular needle and complete them separately. Adding an elastic to the collar is favourable, because it helps keep the shape.
All techniques described here are explained below, and most contain a link with a video demonstration.
