RuffleGalore Sweater is a soft, light and feminine knit with lavish ruffles. I have chosen to cast on and bind off using Italian cast on and bind off because it gives an elegant finish and increased elasticity. I have chosen to increase the height of the neck for a better fit by using German short rows (turn), where you are knitting increases on both the right and the wrong side at the same time. This pattern is knit from the top down using raglan increases, which means that there is no joining of parts at the end. When you have knitted all the increases, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold while you knit the body. When the body is done, you proceed by placing the sleeve stitches back on your circular needle and knit them separately. You will be knitting 3 rounds of purl stitches on the yoke, where you will later collect stitches for your ruffles.
