Candypop Cardigan - Adult (english)

Is a chunky oversized and cropped model. It has a high collar that you can choose to fold down, or shorten if you wish. It has long balloon sleeves with popcorn and stripes at the bottom. It is knitted from the top down, by making raglan increases along the way. The yoke and body of the cardigan are knitted back and forth, whereas the sleeves are knitted in the round. 
I have chosen to raise the neck for a better fit, using reverse knitting needles and the German short rows technique. When all the increases are knitted, put the sleeve stitches on hold, while the rest of the body is knitted. When the body is finished, put the sleeve stitches back on a circular needle and finish knitting separately. As mentioned, the sleeves are knitted in the round in stocking stitch, and at the end you add 3 rows of staggered popcorn. Like me, you can add an extra color and thus also get stripes between them. You can add as many popcorn rows as you want, but the pattern itself only includes the 3. The ribbed front is knitted at the same time as the body. When the cardigan is completely finished, you can decide whether you want to add buttons. You can either add snaps or sew buttonholes into the finished ribbed edge using buttonhole stitches.

13 sts & 17 rows = 10 x 10 cm using stocking stitches on a 7 mm needle with the 2 tread held together
